Why this site exists

Too much technology advice is confusing, condescending, or built to sell people things they do not need.

TechMadeSimple is the opposite: clear advice, plain English, and practical recommendations for older adults who want to stay safe, connected, and independent.

Who this is for

This site is mainly for older adults who want technology to be useful without becoming a project. It is also for adult children, spouses, and caregivers trying to help in a calm, respectful way.

What you will find here

You will find straightforward guides, product recommendations, and simple walkthroughs focused on real life. Things like making a phone easier to use, choosing safety tools, and avoiding products that create more hassle than help.

Our filter
If something is complicated, overpriced, pushy, or built around fear, it is probably not a good fit for this site.

How we choose what to recommend

We start with the real problem, not the flashiest feature list. Then we look at ease of use, value, reliability, and whether the company treats older customers with basic respect.

We pay attention to negative reviews, hidden fees, setup friction, and the little annoyances that make a product end up abandoned in a drawer.

If nothing is good enough, we say so.

About affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, TechMadeSimple may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

The recommendation comes first. The link comes second.

Who is behind TechMadeSimple

I'm Trev, the person behind the site.

I have spent my career building technology systems for real people under real pressure, where getting the details wrong actually matters. I have also watched people I care about struggle with technology that was supposed to make life easier.

TechMadeSimple is my attempt to make that experience less frustrating and more useful.

A quick promise
You are not going to find condescending “just ask your grandkids” energy here. Older adults deserve better than that.
